The International Truck Parts Association was organized with 46 charter member companies in September 1974, as a not for profit association to promote, foster, and improve relationships among sellers and buyers of trucks and truck surplus products and other parties. A major purpose of ITPA is to exchange information and to improve and advance the truck parts aftermarket.

The SSA annual convention provides an opportunitu to sit in on lectures and seminars as well as associate with other members who are always willing to share their concerns and experience with fellow members. Members also have the opportunity to associate with Suppliers and Manufacturers who join for the opportunity to meet and exchange ideas with their customers.

The IMPACT Conference brings together VIPAR Heavy Duty distributors, supplier partners, and industry associates to facilitate the productive exchange of ideas and information to benefit all participants. Conference events include: a tradeshow, 1:1 Meetings, stockholder/supplier partner meetings, general sessions, the annual stockholders meeting, as well as various other business programs.
